Chuzo then, traveled through Asia to Europe, then to America by ferry. It sounds just like me, although my attempted world trip started from China and ended in India, which cannot be classified as “world trip”. When I was young, I was a reckless dreamer. I started my journey at the age of 26 in 1996. There was this weird notion of being “middle-aged” if I turned 27, so I had to leave Japan before my 27th birthday.
It’s been more than 20 years since I started my journey, so I am the real middle-aged person now, so I don’t even know why I had that border line of being young and middle-aged. Now one reason came back to me. Yes, I guess it was because all the great musicians, such as Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison died at the age of 27. So I thought there must be some some thing with the number 27.
